I wrote this letter to our local newspaper praising Clarendon Eye Center:

I am completely done with MyEyeDr. I have been a customer for years, but after today IM DONE! They are very unorganized and unprofessional. I had my eyes examined back in July and have yet to receive my glasses. I never received a courtesy call or anything, and when I called and went in to check on things, they lied and said my glasses were on the way which was a lie! I called my insurance office and found out that they cancelled order for glasses. I will definitely be taking my business elsewear!

Place sucks since it sold out to my eye doctor. More worried about volume now instead of customer experience. I've grown up going to this place for over 20 years and now refuse to go instead I drive 40 min away to another establishment

My daughter is 4 and has been wearing glasses since she was 2. Our previous doctor was a specialist in his field and we traveled to a "big city" just to see him. Needless to say, my standards were high. When I made the appointment at Clarendon Eye Center, I'm afraid I expected a mediocre visit in a "small town" office. I was nervous they would know very little about pediatric optometry and my daughter's prescription would be completely incorrect. Shame on me. I was the one who was incorrect.

Maybe it should be common sense that employees and business owners would obviously be knowledgeable and helpful in their field. Maybe I should have expected the service we received. Unfortunately, in this "big city" world, it's not the norm. I'm finding that in this "small town", that's just business as usual. Many other businesses in Manning offer the same great experience and knowledge. I am anxious to find them and get to know this town a bit better.

Emily who answers the phone is very rude and unprofessional. I called stating that we've been trying to get intouch with office for twos day, and her response was "welllll can I help you" and that was it. No sorry nothing.

My family and I recently moved to Manning. We have been extremely impressed with how friendly and welcoming the people of Manning truly are. This positive impression was cemented for me during a recent visit to the Clarendon Eye Center on Paxville Hwy.

Our previous doctor was frequently overbooked which created less time for questions and concerns. Dr. Wearden had the answers before I asked. It occurred to me during my conversation with Dr. Wearden that I never had a real grasp of the problems with my daughter's vision. He took the time to further explain her prescription in a way that I could understand. The next day, my 17 month old son had his routine exam. Dr. Wearden explained not only what the problem was presently, but what I could expect from my son's vision in the future. Their service was excellent and I will most certainly be returning to their facility come check-up time.

My family has been going here for years, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The nurses and doctors really care about your eye health and do whatever possible to take care of their patients.

Dr. Wearden and staff were MUCH more knowledgeable that I had anticipated. Their equipment easily compares to our previous physician's and the nurses are well trained. Our time in the waiting room was short, which any parent with two children under 4 knows is crucial. To add to this, Clarendon Eye Center has a few tricks up their sleeve that my other optometrist doesn't. I particularly liked that once in the exam room, our nurse played cartoons on the computer for my children to watch while we waited for the doctor. That wait (which wasn't long) also flew by! Plus, everyone at CEC is very personable. Most parents can relate to being made uncomfortable by an annoyed nurse when a child is less than cooperative. Dr. Wearden and the nurses are patient and kind, which made both me and my children feel at ease.
